HOW IT HAPPENED

• The men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Midwest Regional in Aurora, Illinois.
• Gabby Thomas finished 26th overall and led the women's team with a time of 22:59.2. The women's team finished 15th overall.
• Colby Carr finished 65th overall and led the men's team with a time of 26:47.5. The men's team finished 20th overall.
• Gabby Thomas qualified for the NCAA National Championship by grabbing the 7th and final individual qualifying spot.

• "The women ran a solid team race.  Individually, we were led by Gabby Thomas who qualified for the NCAA National Championship by grabbing the 7th and final individual qualifying spot. McKenna Marsh also ran a strong race with a time exactly one minute faster than six weeks ago on the same course."
• "I was very proud of our men's team.  We were missing 3 of our top 5 runners (including #1 & #2) due to health reasons. Colby Karr led the way by running over a minute faster than he did on the same course six weeks ago. Keegan Casey and Mason Coulter also ran their best races of the year."
