Nebraska Wesleyan University sprinter Isabella Hogue earned first-team Academic All-America honors from the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Wednesday.

The Murray, Nebraska native has now won the honor for the first time in her career, continuing a Prairie Wolf streak of 39 years that a Nebraska Wesleyan student-athlete has won the award dating back to the 1983–84 academic year. Following Hogue's success, the Prairie Wolves now have 25 CSC Academic All-Americans in their women's track and field/cross country program. She is now the 190th Prairie Wolf to receive Academic All-America recognition since 1980.

Hogue just finished her junior year with a flawless 4.0 cumulative grade point average while majoring in communication studies. 

A three-time national champion as a sophomore, Hogue won a conference title in the 60-meter dash and finished with three All-American honors during her junior season. Hogue is currently the school record holder in the indoor 60-meter and outdoor 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.

Hogue was one of three members of the American Rivers Conference to be named to the first-team Academic All-America for track and field/cross country.
