Track and Field Team Shines at Central Nebraska Challenge with Impressive Performances

HOW IT HAPPENED

The women's and men's track teams were both well represented at the Central Nebraska Challenge held in Kearney, Nebraska.
Morgan Conner finished 3rd in the men's 200 meter dash running a 21.71 and 4th in the men's 100 meter dash running 10.74 in his fist collegiate 100 meter event.
Kyle Dickinson had a very impressive showing walking away with the gold in the men's 400 meter dash running a 47.38.
NWU was represented well in the men's 110 meter hurdles. Men's Indoor 60m hurdles National Champion Eli Etherton took home gold with a time of 14.51 and Noah Smith finished fourth with a 15.12.
Garrett Lenners recorded a second place finish in the men's 800 meter dash with a time of 1:50.32
Ellie Akough finished 3rd in the discuss event throwing 44.50 meters. Akough also placed fourth in the hammer event throwing a 174'4"
Sam Homan shined for the Prairie Wolves in the men's javelin earning second place.
