Men's Tennis Blanks Buena Vista, Clinches Postseason Berth

Storm Lake, Iowa. (April 23, 2022) –
The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team blanked Buena Vista University, 9-0, in an American Rivers Conference match. The win clinched a spot for the Prairie Wolves in the A-R-C postseason tournament.

For the fourth time this season, NWU captured all three of the doubles points. The pairings of Ryan Carey and Will Olson, Jacob Balfany and Max Rademacher, and Daniel Bernhardson and Hayden Retzlaff each won by a 8-5 final margin.

The Prairie Wolves kept their momentum rolling into singles winning all six matches. Retzlaff had a clean sweep, route of 6-0, 6-0 at No.6. Carey, Olson, Rademacher, and Bernhardson all earned straight-set wins at No.1, No. 2, No.4, and No. 5 respectively. Balfany won in the tie-breaking third set at No. 3 to secure the NWU sweep.

Nebraska Wesleyan is off until Sunday, May 1 when it plays a road doubleheader against Wartburg and Luther.
