Box Score HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the first quarter, senior, Brianna Denton got off to a hot start. Denton scored 11 of Nebraska Wesleyan's 16 points and scored the first nine points for the black and gold, 16-18. 
• At the 7:08 mark of the second quarter, Ellie Bream gave Coach Bullock's squad their first lead since the 7:47 mark of the first quarter, with a layup, 22-20. 
• Luther opened things up in the closing minutes of the first-half, going on a 6-2 run, 28-35. 
• Nebraska Wesleyan's offense slowed down in the third quarter, getting outscored 9-12. The Norse extended their lead to 10 heading into the final 10 minutes, 37-47. Ellie Bream tallied six of her 14 points.
• The black and gold were unable to complete a fourth quarter comeback and move to 1-1 in conference play.
• Luther College defeated Nebraska Wesleyan University 49-64.
