Three-Peat! Men’s Golf Wins Third Straight Conference Title

IOWA CITY, Iowa (May 1, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan men's golf team won the 2021 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Men's Golf Championship with a four-round total of 1198, its third straight conference title. NWU was the only team to record two rounds under 300 as it cruised to the team title by 35 strokes. The Prairie Wolves had all five individuals finish in the top 18 with three in the top five.

Alex Kubik led NWU with a total of 293, just three strokes back of the individual title. Grant Johnson finished third in the individual standings with a 297 and Christian Hall placed fifth with a 307. A 313 allowed Connor Vandewege to tie for 10th place and Bryce Vuncannon carded a 318 to tie for 18th.

Kubik, Johnson, Hall, and Vandewege all earned All-Conference accolades by placing in the top 10. The A-R-C named Nebraska Wesleyan's Derrick Ceder as its 2021 Coach of the Year, the third time Ceder has achieved the award. It is Kubik's, Hall's, and Johnson's second All-Conference honor in their Prairie Wolf careers.

The 2021 title is Nebraska Wesleyan's 36th conference championship in program history. It is also the third conference crown since joining the A-R-C in 2016.
