Prairie Wolves Make Easy Work Of Buena Vista, Cruise To 8-1 Victory


STORM LAKE, Iowa (April 24, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis (2-5, 2-5 A-R-C) cruised past Buena Vista (2-5, 1-5 A-R-C), 8-1, for its first road of the 2021 spring season. NWU has outscored its opponents 17-1 in its last two victories. 

The Prairie Wolves won all three doubles points to begin the match. Ryan Carey and Max Rademacher won 8-3 in No. 1 Doubles. Will Olson teamed up with Vinh Le for an 8-6 victory at No. 2 Doubles and Hayden Retzlaff and Cole Lohoefener easily won at No. 3 Doubles 8-1.

In singles action, Nebraska Wesleyan only dropped one match. Carey won in straight sets, 6-4-6-4, at No. 1 Singles. Olson took No. 3 Singles with a 6-1-6-1 victory as Lohoefener won No 4. Singles 6-4 and 6-1. Hayden Retzlaff cruised to a win in No. 5 Singles, 6-0-6-1 with Le not giving up a single point in his dominating win at No. 6 Singles, 6-0-6-0. 

What's Next
Nebraska Wesleyan plays its final regular-season match at Simpson College on Saturday, May 1 in Indianola, Iowa.  The winner of the match will claim the final spot in the 2021 American Rivers Conference Tournament.
