Haynes Goes Unbeaten In A-R-C Matches, Wrestling Upended By Nationally Ranked Foes

WAVERLY, Iowa. (February 13, 2021) - Nebraska Wesleyan wrestling's Eron Haynes finished his American River Conference (A-R-C) schedule with a perfect 8-0 record after wins against Wartburg College and Loras College. As a team, the Prairie Wolves fell to No. 1 Wartburg 47-3 and No. 8 Loras 47-3.

In a match-up of top-10 nationally ranked 133-lb wrestlers, Haynes, ranked sixth, scored one of his best wins of the season with a 15-8 decision over Loras's Zach Licht, ranked 10th. The win over Licht clinched Haynes's perfect season. In his first match of the afternoon, Haynes recorded a 9-7 decision against Wartburg's Nick Meling for his seventh straight win of the season.
