Prairie Wolves Win Doubles, Fall To Warriors

LINCOLN, Neb. (October 5, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team took two doubles points against Midland University but it wouldn't be enough to defeat Midland University in its final match of the fall season. MU won the match, 7-2, at the Lincoln Sports Foundation Sports Complex.

NWU started the match with two pivotal wins in doubles action. Ryan Carey and Will Olsen earned the at No. 1 Doubles with a hard-fought victory. Carey and Olsen won the match 8-7, which included winning the tiebreaker, 8-6. The second Prairie Wolf point came at No. 3 Doubles with Daniel Bernhandsen and Vihn Le. Bernhandsen and Le controlled the match and won 8-5.

In singles action, Cole Lohoefener lost a tough match at No. 6 Singles. Lohoefener fell in the first set but rebounded with a convincing 6-3 victory in the second set. Lohoefener would battle hard in the decisive third set but fell 10-6.
