Women’s Cross Country 5th, Men’s Cross Country 6th at A-R-C Championships

DECORAH, Iowa (October 30, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan cross country teams wrapped up the 2021 American Rivers Conference Championships in Decorah, Iowa. The NWU women's team placed fifth and the NWU men's team finished sixth in the team standings.

Gabby Thomas earned All-Conference honors for the Prairie Wolves. Thomas finished 12th in the race with a time of 23:32.3. It is the first career All-Conference award for Thomas. Camryn Larsen finished in the top 30 with a mark of 24:19.1. McKenna Marsh trekked the 6K course in a time of 24:56.4 and Josephine Blatny was just a second behind Marsh. Claire Kallhoff rounded out the top five NWU runners with a time of 25:29.6.

In the men's race, Norbert Weijenberg led Nebraska Wesleyan with a top 25 finish. Weijenberg ran a 26:23.2 on the 8K course to place 25th. Kellen McLaughlin was in the top 35 with a time of 26:42.6. Colby Karr clocked a 27:01.8 and Grant Reid turned in a time of 27:34.2. NWU's top five was rounded out by Noble Valerio-Boster with a time of 28:31.3.
