LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's basketball team ranked No. 8 in the 2018-19 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top 25 Academic Team Honor Roll for NCAA Division III women's basketball. The Prairie Wolves posted a team cumulative grade point average of 3.656.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and two year college GPAs inclusive of all student athletes on their roster for the entire season. This is the 24
th time the WBCA has released their Academic Top 25 Honor Roll.
NWU has now been in the top 15 in three of the past five seasons, including the 2014-15 season when they led the nation.
Head Coach
Sam Dixon guided the Prairie Wolves to a 12-14 overall record in his second season, finishing 7-9 in American Rivers Conference play to earn a spot in the conference postseason tournament.
Shenandoah University led NCAA Division III with a team GPA of 3.764.
