LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan University senior guard
Caitlin Navratil was one of five players placed on the D3hoops.com NCAA III Women's Basketball Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware.
Navratil averaged 24.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game last week helping the Prairie Wolves go 2-1.
She became the first NWU women's basketball player to ever record a triple-double scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in a win over Westminster on Nov. 19. Later in the week, Navratil set the Nebraska Wesleyan career scoring record breaking the previous record of 1,502 set by Sharon Holscher in 1985. Navratil now has 1,505 career points.
Navratil was chosen to the team of the week at guard. The 5'3 senior leads the conference and ranks 3
rd in all of NCAA III in scoring this season at 26.4 points per game. She ranks 2
nd in rebounding and assists in the American Rivers Conference and has been named the A-R-C Women's Athlete of the Week each of the past two weeks.
