Box Score Nebraska Wesleyan University men's basketball team improved to 2-0 with a 100-50 victory over Nebraska Christian College on Tuesday night (Nov. 19) at Snyder Arena in Lincoln.

The Prairie Wolves shot 58.8 percent from the floor in the victory and reached the century mark for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

NWU built up a 53-19 lead at halftime as they went on a 23-2 run midway thru the half to pull away for their second victory of the season.

Nebraska Christian College, located in Papillion, Neb., fought hard and was led by Henry Efamba who had a game-high 21 points.

The Prairie Wolves had three players reach double figures in scoring.Â
Trevor Johnson was 7-8 from the floor to score 16 points and
Travis Giesselmann came off the bench to score a career-high 16 points, including a highlight reel fast break dunk.Â
Tim Schweitzer added 10 points and dished out four assists.

NWU shot 40-68 from the floor, but hit just 9-26 from 3-point range for 34.6 percent. The Prairie Wolves did have a 44-23 advantage in rebounds and had 28 team assists.

Nebraska Wesleyan opens Great Plains Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 23) when they play Dakota Wesleyan University in Sioux Falls, S.D., at The Pentagon.
