Biography
2012-13: Played in 23 games, getting the start in 19 games … missed two games with injury in November … named honorable mention All-GPAC for second straight season … a 3rd-Team CoSIDA Academic All-American … named 2nd-Team All-Independent … scored in double figures 12 times during the year, leading the team in scoring four times … had a season-high 20 points in double OT loss at Dakota Wesleyan on Jan. 5 … had 16 points each in wins over Hastings and Doane in the final month of the season … was honorable mention All-Nebraska … 1st-Team Academic All-District and a NAIA Scholar Athlete … also a Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.
2011-12: Started all 26 games for NWU at forward during his sophomore season … was honorable mention All-GPAC and honorable mention All-Nebraska … named Second-Team All-Independent … was second on the team in scoring at 11.4 points per game … led the Prairie Wolves in rebounding at 4.8 boards per game … was fifth in the GPAC in field goal percentage at 52.6 … scored in double figures in 19 games on the year … had career-high 21 points in win over Morningside on Feb. 4 … had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in first meeting at Morningside on Jan. 4 … was the MVP of the ACR Homes Northwestern Tournament to open the season … averaged 14 points and six rebounds in the two victories … was a Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.
2010-11: Played in 20 games as a freshman and got the start at forward in the final 10 games of the year … really came on strong towards the end of the season … averaged 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game … shot 53.2 percent from the field … had three games scoring in double figures … set a career-high with 12 points in an overtime victory over Dordt on Feb. 5 … led the team in rebounding three times … averaged 17.8 minutes per game.

In High School: Started for two seasons in basketball for Lincoln Pius X … led the Thunderbolts to a District Championship and State Tournament appearance as a senior … named Class B First-Team All-State in 2010 … also named to the All-City team … averaged 16.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game … played in the Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star game … a two-time Academic All-State selection.
Personal: Born 6/6/91, son of Terry and Fran Johnson … sister Amber is a sophomore on the NWU women’s soccer team.
