ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan clinched the program's sixth American Rivers Conference regular season title in last Wednesday's 81-71 victory over Buena Vista. The Prairie Wolves would go on to secure their first outright title since 2020 despite falling to Dubuque, courtesy of Buena Vista's 65-62 win over Loras. The Prairie Wolves' consistent approach helped the team earn two streaks of six or more wins, while their three conference losses came by a total of 12 points. Nebraska Wesleyan's efficient offense and gritty defense were paramount to the program's success. Offensively, the Black and Gold averaged 72.6 points per game, while making 43.2% of their shots, and held opponents to 67.7 points per game. The Prairie Wolves brought down 282 offensive and 593 defensive rebounds, while totaling 384 assists, 235 steals, and 76 blocked shots. Leading the way for Nebraska Wesleyan was senior
Nick Howard, who averaged 15.2 points and .96 blocks per game.

Seth Newton are also impact playmakers, with Winn dishing out 76 assists and Newton leading the team with 169 total rebounds and 43 steals.
TOURNEY AT HOME
Thursday will mark the eighth time in 10 seasons that Nebraska Wesleyan has started the A-R-C tournament at Snyder Arena. Additionally, NWU has clinched home court advantage in six seasons. The Prairie Wolves have hosted 13 A-R-C tournament home games with a record of 9-4. Nebraska Wesleyan has claimed tournament titles in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Dale Wellman is in his 12th season at the helm of Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball. Wellman holds a career record of 232-82, and has won 10 Coach of the Year awards. Coach Wellman looks to get his 300th career victory as a head coach with a win over Dubuque.
SCOUTING DUBUQUE
Dubuque defeated Buena Vista, 76-53, in the opening round of the A-R-C tournament. The Spartans finished the regular season with a record of 16-9 and finished fourth in the American Rivers Conference standings at 9-7. Dubuque averages 75.8 points per game and shoots at a 42.9% clip from the field. Dubuque allows 69.8 points per game. The Spartans are led by Robbie Sieverding, in his 19th season.
