KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Nebraska Wesleyan University men's and women's soccer programs were recognized as United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award winners for the 2025-26 academic year, the organization announced Friday.

A total of 794 collegiate soccer teams nationwide earned the distinction, including 333 men's teams and 461 women's teams, by posting a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Of those programs, just 185 institutions had both their men's and women's teams recognized, including Nebraska Wesleyan.

The honor marks the seventh consecutive year and 10th overall selection for the Prairie Wolves men's program. The women's program earned its 13th Team Academic Award and first since 2021.

Combined, it is the seventh time in school history that both Nebraska Wesleyan soccer programs have received the award in the same academic year.

The NWU women's team, led by head coach Robert Lynch entering his second season, recorded a 3.50 team GPA. Nebraska Wesleyan was one of seven American Rivers Conference women's programs recognized.

The Prairie Wolves men's team, under the direction of ninth-year head coach Brandon Bonilla, posted a 3.35 team GPA. NWU was one of three American Rivers Conference men's programs to earn the honor.

Of the women's A-R-C schools, NWU was one of seven to be honored on the list. The men's team was one of three conference schools to be named.
