LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan University produced 11 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large honorees Tuesday, June 16, with 10 golfers and a wrestler earning recognition for their performances in competition and in the classroom.
Honored on the men's golf team were
Harrison Weddell,
Jacob Cosimano,
Brayden Schram,
Jackson Lapour and
Travis Tilford.
Shea Meridith,
O'Brasia Amos,
Haley Blackstone,
Lauren Hays and
Tessa Hurlburt earned recognition on the women's golf team.
Donovan Mann was honored in the men's wrestling category.
The CSC Academic All-District At-Large Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes across NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA competition. Sports in the At-Large category include golf, gymnastics, fencing, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, men's volleyball, water polo, wrestling, women's beach volleyball, women's bowling, women's crew/rowing and field hockey.
Golf honorees must be at least sophomores academically and athletically and carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA. They must have competed in 70 percent of team scoring events or in the conference championship. Wrestling honorees must appear in the lineup for at least 75 percent of team scoring events or compete in their weight class at a conference championship.
