GREENWOOD, Ind. – Five Nebraska Wesleyan University softball student athletes have earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, officials announced Tuesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. They are nominated by the nation's sports information directors.
Seniors
Jenna Kimberling and
Kenzie Heedum as well as juniors
Eva Fahrnbruch and
Taylor Korecky and sophomore
Paige Comstock have all earned honors for the Black and Gold.
Kimberling carries a 3.72 GPA as an exercise science major. She started in all 37 games this season at second base. Kimberling led the Prairie Wolves with a .367 batting average on 40 hits to go along with 30 runs scored, 34 RBI, eight doubles and four triples.
Heedum is a biology major with a 3.90 GPA. She started all 37 games this season as the team's primary center fielder. She hit .293 with 29 hits, one double, and eight RBI.
Fahrnbruch has a 4.00 GPA as an accounting major. She appeared in all 37 games for the Prairie Wolves as the team's ace and infielder. At the plate, she carried a .270 batting average with 27 hits. She added a double and 17 RBI to her line. In the circle she made 27 appearances and 21 starts while pitching a team-high 146.0 innings pitched. She carried a 3.64 ERA and threw three complete game shutouts on the season.
Korecky carries a 3.78 GPA as an exercise science major. She appeared in 36 out of 37 games this season in the outfield. Korecky held a .266 batting average on 21 hits to go along with 17 runs scored, eight RBI, four doubles and three triples.
Comstock is an accounting major with a 4.00 GPA. She started in 34 of 37 games this season as the team's primary catcher. She hit .276 with 27 hits, five doubles, one triple and 12 RBI.
