Nebraska Wesleyan enters Friday seeking to snap a five game losing streak. The Prairie Wolves last win was a 6-0 triumph over Western Connecticut State on March 14th. Nebraska Wesleyan boasts an explosive offense that has combined for a .282/.369/.362 slash line with 104 runs scored on 154 hits. The Black and Gold have driven in 92 RBIs and hit five home runs. NWU's offensive attack is spearheaded by
Jenna Kimberling, who has hit two home runs, while recording 23 hits, 21 RBIs and scoring 20 runs.
Addyson Maxell joined Kimberling in the 20 hit club with a three hit series against Concordia. Mawell has also scored 10 runs and driven in 10 RBIs. Defensively, NWU holds a .974 fielding percentage, while the pitching staff has combined for a 4.42 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts, while surrendering 167 hits, and allowing 86 earned runs.
HEAD COACH COURTNEY MEDINA
Courtney Medina is in her first season as the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan and holds an 8-12 record. Medina comes to Lincoln after serving three seasons at Western Nebraska Community College.Â
SCOUTING WARTBURG
Wartburg enters Friday 17-7 after sweeping Simpson College on Wednesday. The Knights hold a slash line of.348/.522/.416, with 193 runs scored on 239 hits. Defensively, Wartburg has a .944 fielding percentage with pitchers combining for an ERA of 4.30. The Knights are led by Jamie Mueller, in her 11th season.
