Lincoln, NE - Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball will round out a three game road trip at Simpson Wednesday night, before returning home to host Wartburg on Senior Day.

GAME TIME, LOCATION, LIVE STREAM & LIVE STATS
Nebraska Wesleyan and Simpson is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, February 4th. The game will be played at Cowles Fieldhouse, in Indianola, Iowa. Simpson will live stream the game and provide live stats. On Saturday, February 7th, Nebraska Wesleyan will host Wartburg at Snyder Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. ABOUT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan has been on a tear as of late, winning five consecutive games by a combined margin of 376-320, with three of the wins coming by 10 or more points. The Black and Gold currently own a 15-5 record, while posting a 10-1 mark in American Rivers Conference play. The Prairie Wolves currently occupy the top spot in the conference with a crucial five game stretch upcoming. The key to NWU's success has been complimentary play on both offense and defense. The Prairie Wolves average 73.2 points per game, with a shooting percentage of 44.3. This includes a .346 mark from beyond the arc. The Prairie Wolves are effective at drawing fouls and have drained 221 of 336 free throw attempts. Defensively, NWU stifles opponents, allowing 67.4 points per game. As a team, NWU has tallied 699 rebounds, 316 assists, while forcing 292 turnovers, 192 of which being steals, and blocking 60 shots. Leading the Prairie Wolf attack is two way star Nick Howard, who averages 14.5 points per game, while knocking down 27 three pointers. Defensively, Howard ranks second on the team with 17 blocked shots. Christian Winn is a key offensive weapon, who generates offense in a multitude of ways. As a scorer, Winn averages 13.3 points per contest, while also being a key distributor with 60 assists. Seth Newton is a jack-of-all-trades player, and makes an impact in every phase of the game. Newton is NWU's top rebounder with 151 boards, and is tied with Seth Mosser for the team lead in made threes with 38. Newton has also recorded a team best 37 steals. 

HEAD COACH DALE WELLMAN
Dale Wellman is in his 12th season as the head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan Men's Basketball, having led the Prairie Wolves to numerous accomplishments, including a national championship in 2018. Under his guidance, the program has seen five A-R-C Regular Season titles and multiple NCAA Tournament appearances. Wellman boasts an all-time record of 229-81.

Nebraska Wesleyan will honor Amun-Ra Collins, and Nick Howard during Saturday's Senior Day celebration.

SCOUTING SIMPSON
Simpson enters Wednesday night 8-11 overall and 5-5 in the American Rivers Conference. The Storm have lost three consecutive games The Storm average 75.5 points per game, and allow 77.2 points per game. Simpson is led by Kyle Jones, in his second season.
