LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming returned to competition in emphatic fashion Saturday afternoon, turning Senior Day into a celebration with decisive home victories at Snyder Natatorium in the final home meet of the 2025-26 season.
The Prairie Wolf men captured a 114-86 dual win over Iowa Western Community College, while the women dominated a double dual, defeating College of Saint Mary's 154-50 and Iowa Western 146-52. The meet marked the first competition back from winter break and served as a fitting sendoff for Nebraska Wesleyan's senior class.
Nebraska Wesleyan posted multiple first-place finishes and strong relay performances across both programs, setting the tone early and maintaining control throughout the afternoon. Saturday's meet carried added meaning as Nebraska Wesleyan honored its seniors in their final home appearance. The senior class helped anchor relay squads, set the competitive tone, and contributed to the program's continued growth, closing out home competition with wins on both sides.

Men's Meet
The Prairie Wolf men established momentum early with a strong showing in the relays and never relinquished control of the dual. Junior Mattia Rosatelli delivered a standout performance, touching first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.15 before adding another victory in the 200 individual medley at 1:58.92. Rosatelli also helped the 200 medley relay team to a first-place finish.
Nebraska Wesleyan's depth continued to show in the freestyle events, highlighted by Caleb Courtney's victory in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.67. The Prairie Wolves closed key portions of the meet with strength in the relays, as the men's A 200 freestyle relay squad secured a first-place finish to help seal the 114-86 win over Iowa Western.
Women's Meet
The Nebraska Wesleyan women were dominant from start to finish in the double dual, winning both meets by wide margins behind balanced performances across the lineup.
Beatrice Massa Micon paced the Prairie Wolves with first-place finishes in both the 100 freestyle (52.53) and the 50 freestyle (24.35), while Lydi O'Neal followed closely with a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle at 54.49.
Relay strength proved to be a difference-maker once again, as Nebraska Wesleyan's A squads in both the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay captured first-place finishes. The women's A 200 freestyle relay team of Lydi O'Neal, Hannah Gibbs, Elena Lazzaretto and Lizzie Meyer touched first with a time of 1:39.02, capping a comprehensive team effort.
