LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska Wesleyan University swimming earned a clean sweep of the American Rivers Conference weekly awards for the week ending January 11, 2026, as junior Mattia Rosatelli was named Men's Swimmer of the Week, while Beatrice Massa Micon claimed both Women's Swimmer of the Week and Women's Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The honors followed standout performances by both swimmers in Nebraska Wesleyan's Senior Day victories at Snyder Natatorium, the final home meet of the 2025–26 season.
Rosatelli (Rome, Italy), delivered one of the top individual performances of the season in the Prairie Wolves' 114-86 dual win over Iowa Western Community College. The junior captured first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.15 and followed with a victory in the 200 individual medley, clocking 1:58.92 to break the Weary Natatorium pool record. Rosatelli also swam on Nebraska Wesleyan's first-place 200 medley relay, helping set the tone early in the meet.
On the women's side, Massa Micon powered Nebraska Wesleyan to dominant double-dual wins over Iowa Western (146-52) and College of Saint Mary (154-50). The sophomore won both of her individual events, touching first in the 50 freestyle (24.35) and the 100 freestyle (52.53), and played a key role on a winning relay as the Prairie Wolves controlled the meet from start to finish.
The dual meet marked Nebraska Wesleyan's return to competition following winter break and capped Senior Day with decisive team performances, led by Rosatelli and Massa Micon's award-winning efforts.
Nebraska Wesleyan returns to action January 16–17 at the Grinnell Invite in Grinnell, Iowa.
