Men's Soccer to Host Loras in Final Match of Home Stand

Lincoln, NE - Nebraska Wesleyan will wrap up a three match home stand against Loras College on Saturday.

GAME TIME, LOCATION, LIVE STREAM & LIVE STATS
Saturday's match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. Nebraska Wesleyan will live stream the game and carry live stats.

A LOOK AT NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan was defeated by Gustavus Adolphus, 3-1, in their last match. The Prairie Wolves enter Saturday with a 2-3-3 record. Through eight games, NWU has scored nine goals, with an average of 1.13 goals per game. The Black and Gold have generated 96 total shops, with 42 being shots on goal. The Prairie Wolves offense runs through Franklyn Hersame, who has scored three goals, and added one assist to lead the team with seven points. Morgan Armagost has also been effective on offense, recording two goals. While he is yet to score a goal, Owen Glogowski sets his teammates up with scoring chances, contributing a team best three assist, and leading the team with 12 total shots taken. Defensively, NWU allows two goals per game, with Graedon Hilton making 34 saves on 48 shots faced.

Head Coach Brandon Bonilla is in his eighth season as the head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan, where he holds a 52-51-18 record. 

COMMON CONFERENCE OPENING FOE
Saturday will mark the fifth American Rivers Conference opening match between the Prairie Wolves and Duhawks. Since joining the American Rivers Conference in 2016, Nebraska Wesleyan has opened with Loras or Luther in 9 of 10 seasons. 

NEBRASKA WESLEYAN MEN'S SOCCER TRADITION
The Prairie Wolves have claimed four conference championships and hold an all-time record of 309-241-51, highlighted by an undefeated 19-0 season in 1999. The last time the Prairie Wolves were crowned conference tournament champions was in 2001.

SCOUTING LORAS
Loras College holds a 5-0-3 record and has won five straight matches by a combined margin of 19-3. The Duhawks score an average of 2.88 goals per game, and have taken 145 total shots. Defensively, Loras allows 0.88 goals per game, while holding opponents to 101 shots. The Duhawks are led by Sam Koening, in his third season.
