The Prairie Wolves moved to 26-9 overall (8-4 A-R-C) with the split, showcasing resilience after an early setback.

The Prairie Wolves fought back from an early 2-0 deficit, getting one back in the third when Hanna Roth doubled home Eva Fahrnbruch. Roth's hit solidified her as the career record holder for hits at Nebraska Wesleyan. NWU took a 3-2 lead in the fifth after Roth struck again with an RBI single, plating Kenzie Heedum. She was later hit home by Val Gerlach.
Wartburg answered in the bottom of the fifth, capitalizing on a walk to score two runs off starter Elise Warneke (18-5). NWU threatened in the seventh, putting two runners on, but both Paige Davison and Lyndsey Roth were gunned down at home in the inning.

Starter Elise Warneke (19-5) was sharp, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out one in five innings. With the win, Warneke captured the school record for wins in a seson with 19. The game ended early via the run rule.
