Lincoln, NE (March 31st, 2025)- Fresh off an 8-2 victory over Bellevue University, Nebraska Wesleyan softball is set to host two midweek home games before traveling to eastern Iowa for a double header at Dubuque.
LOCATION
Nebraska Wesleyan will host Bellevue University on Tuesday, April 1st, with first pitch set for 5:00 p.m. Then on Thursday, April 3rd, NWU will welcome the College of St. Mary to Lincoln. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. Both games will be played at Sandhills Global Youth Complex, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Nebraska Wesleyan's team1sports page will

live stats. After completing the home stand, Nebraska Wesleyan will travel to Dubuque, Iowa, to partake in a Saturday afternoon double header with Dubuque. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., with game two to follow at 3:00 p.m. The Roll Rivers Network will

SCOUTING NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
Nebraska Wesleyan has been playing with confidence as of late and brings a three game winning streak into Tuesday's tilt with Bellevue. HEAD COACH MARY YORI
Head Coach
Mary Yori is in her tenth season as the head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan's softball program. Yori was hired as Nebraska Wesleyan's first full time head softball coach in June of 2015. In ten seasons as head coach, Yori has complied a 194-143 record and was the 2016 AD3I All-Independent Co-Coach of the Year in her first season leading the Prairie Wolves. Yori coached Nebraska Wesleyan to its first NCAA tournament appearance in 2022. Last season, Yori helped lead the team to a 26-11 record and an A-R-C tournament appearance. Coach Yori also had five athletes named to the A-R-C All-Conference Team, with
Lyndsey Roth and
Val Gerlach also earning NFCA All-Region Third Team honors.
NEBRASKA WESLEYAN SOFTBALL TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan's lone conference championship occurred in 1986. That season saw Nebraska Wesleyan post an 8-4 conference record in the NIAC. Nebraska Wesleyan's only NCAA tournament appearance occurred in 2022. That season saw Nebraska Wesleyan go 23-16 overall, and 8-8 in American Rivers Conference Play.
SCOUTING THE BRUINS
Bellevue enters this week with an 12-14 record. The Bruins have lost four of their last five games. Bellevue holds a slash line of .296/.376/.440, while scoring 117 runs on 205 hits. The Bruins are coached by Michala Cimino.
