Women's Tennis Ready for Battle with Doane

Lincoln, NE (March 27th, 2025) - After defeating Bethany 7-0 on Sunday, Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis returns home to face Doane College.

LOCATION & MATCH TIME
Nebraska Wesleyan will host Doane on Thursday, March 27th. The match will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the LSF Tennis Complex in Lincoln, Nebraska.

ABOUT THE PRAIRIE WOLVES
Nebraska Wesleyan (8-6, 4-4 A-R-C) is 1-1 during spring play, after posting a 7-5 record during the fall. The Prairie Wolves hold a 6-6 record in spring singles play. 

HEAD COACH LEE STEINBROOK 
Lee Steinbrook is in his sixth year as head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan. Under his leadership, the Prairie Wolves have consistently grown and competed at a high level, with multiple players earning conference honors. Steinbrook's focus on developing both the athletic and academic skills of his players has been a cornerstone of the team's success.

Nebraska Wesleyan has a storied history in women's tennis, winning 16 conference regular-season championships and seven conference tournament championships.

A LOOK AT DOANE COLLEGE
Doane College enters Thursday with a 6-5 overall record. The Tigers are 6-3 in spring play. Doane is coached by Ed Hubbs.

SERIES HISTORY VS DOANE COLLEGE
Thursday will mark the 17th meeting between the Prairie Wolves and Tigers. Nebraska Wesleyan leads the all time series 10-5 after defeating Doane last fall by a score of 4-2.
