Nebraska Wesleyan Women's Tennis Falls to Coe in Conference Play

Box Score CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa— The Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to Coe, 7-0, on Friday afternoon in conference play.

The Prairie Wolves dropped all three doubles matches to open the afternoon. The pairing of freshman Madison Marsh and sophomore Kylie Engelsman fell to Addison Leasure and Aiesha Dolker Gurung, 6-1, while juniors Jayna Erickson and Sylvia Kamradt were defeated by Alliandra Hagness and Alice Tysoe, 6-2, in doubles. Juniors Vivian Dao and Elizabeth Routh dropped their doubles match, 6-0, to Cossette Gaines and Sofia Fain.

In singles play, Coe continued its strong afternoon by earning straight-set victories in all six matches. Engelsmand put together one of Nebraska Wesleyan's closest singles match falling to Fain, 6-1 and then 6-0. With the result, Nebraska Wesleyan moves to 0-5 on the season, while Coe improves to 3-0.

The Prairie Wolves will continue conference play a match up at Wartburg tomorrow at 10:00 AM.
