Prairie Wolves Dominate in Season-Opening Dual Against Simpson

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Nebraska Wesleyan swimming opened the 2025–26 season in dominant fashion Saturday, rolling past Simpson College in a dual meet. The Prairie Wolves women defeated the Storm 161–20, while the men cruised to a 160–40 victory to start the year 1–0 on both sides.

From there, the Prairie Wolves controlled nearly every event. O'Neil dominated the 50 free (24.92), and Lizzie Meyer added a victory in the 100 free (56.28). Lazzaretto (2:17.86) claimed the 200 IM and later took the 100 breaststroke (1:10.46), while Bea Massa Micon (1:02.06) won the 100 backstroke. The Prairie Wolves capped the meet with a commanding performance in the 200 free relay, as Massa Micon, Meyer, Sophia Daigle, and O'Neil touched in 1:42.29.
