LINCOLN, Neb. (Oct. 14, 2025) – Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball continued its dominance inside Snyder Arena on Tuesday night, sweeping College of Saint Mary (25–18, 30–28, 25–23) to remain undefeated at home in the 2025 season. The Prairie Wolves improved to 12–6 overall, while the Flames fell to 12–9.
NWU was balanced on both sides of the ball, recording 46 kills, 67 digs, 6 blocks, and 6 service aces in the straight-set victory. Freshman standout Macy Plucker led the attack with 12 kills, while Ella Foote and Jera Schuerman each added 11. Junior setter Elecea Saathoff orchestrated the offense with a 40-assist performance, while senior libero Raegan Holle anchored the defense with a match-high 20 digs.
How It Happened
Set One
Nebraska Wesleyan established the tone early, jumping out to a 21–16 lead behind efficient hitting from Plucker and Foote. The Prairie Wolves closed the frame strong, scoring four of the final six points to take the opening set 25–18.
Set Two
The second set was a battle from start to finish. NWU built a slim 7–4 advantage, but the Flames clawed back to force extra points. With the set tied late, Molly Ramirez delivered a clutch kill to give the Prairie Wolves a two-set lead, 30–28.
Set Three
College of Saint Mary opened with energy, taking a 6–4 lead before NWU flipped momentum. The Prairie Wolves surged ahead on a 13–8 run, sparked by Schuerman's attacking and Saathoff's precise distribution. After trading points late, Sydney Benson sealed the sweep with an ace down the line to close out the match 25–23.
