LA CROSSE, Wis. (September 20, 2024) – Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball continued its stellar season at the UW-La Crosse Invitational, sweeping both St. Scholastica and Martin Luther in straight sets on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Nebraska Wesleyan started the day strong, defeating St. Scholastica 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-14). The Prairie Wolves grabbed an early lead in set one, fending off a late push by the Saints. Aliah Clarke and Addie Thomas powered NWU's offense in the second set, while the defense held firm, limiting St. Scholastica to a .086 hitting percentage. NWU closed the match in dominant fashion, with a .481 hitting percentage in the final set, led by Clarke's 10 kills in the match.

The Prairie Wolves carried their momentum into the second match, sweeping Martin Luther 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-17). Nebraska Wesleyan's offensive firepower was on full display with Addie Thomas leading the charge once again. She posted a match-high 14 kills. Molly Ramirez added 7 kills of her own, while the Wolves' defense, anchored by Raegan Holle and Kobie Patten, stifled the Knights throughout the contest.
