In doubles, NWU set the tone early by taking two of the three matches.
Anna Burt and
Gracey Smith dominated at No. 3 doubles, earning a 6-2 victory.
Ella Ford and
Parker Brown had a hard-fought win at the No. 2 spot, edging Scholler and Castillero in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (8-6).
Crystal Craft and
Addi Duranski fell at No. 1 doubles, losing 2-6.
NWU carried their momentum into singles play, where they clinched the match with dominant performances from their middle-order players. Brown earned her second victory of the day, defeating Castillero 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Burt also impressed, winning 6-4, 6-1 against Schroller at the No. 4 spot.
