Box Score LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan University women's tennis fought back from an early deficit to secure a thrilling 4-3 comeback victory over Hastings College on Thursday. The Prairie Wolves displayed resilience in singles play, with key wins from Crystal Craft, Anna Burt, Parker Brown, and Addi Duranski to seal the win.
In doubles, the duo of Anna Burt and Gracey Smith earned a solid victory at the No. 3 spot, defeating Hasting's Cetek and Benson, 6-3. However, NWU dropped the other two doubles matches. Crystal Craft and Addi Duranski battled hard but came up short in a tiebreaker, falling 6-7 (3-7) to Carter and Harris at No. 1 doubles. Ella Ford and Parker Brown struggled against Arisbach and Wilcoxson at No. 2 doubles, losing 0-6.
Despite losing the doubles point heading into singles play, NWU rallied back. Craft pulled off a gutsy win at the top singles spot, taking down Carter in a three-set thriller, 6-0, 2-6, 12-10. Burt continued her impressive play, cruising to a 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 victory over Arisbach at No. 4 singles. Brown notched a straight-set win at No. 3 singles, defeating Wilcoxson 6-4, 6-3. Duranski capped off the comeback with a hard-fought 7-5, 6-4 win over Beatrony at No. 5 singles.
