LINCOLN, Neb. (April 5, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan track and field competed at the Concordia Invitational on Friday. This was the first full team meet of the season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Natalie Cummins placed third in the women's long jump with a leap of 5.48 meters. This puts her at tenth in school history. 
• Dallen Booker and Lachlan Pickering placed first and second in the men's triple jump, clearing 14.21 meters and 14.07 meters, respectfully. 
• Emmilly Berglund placed third in the women's seeded shot put, tossing the ball 12.25 meters.
• Ja'Dein Madison took second in the women's seeded hammer throw, launching it 48.40 meters. This moves her up to eighth on the all-time charts.
• Avery Decker increased her national leading mark in the women's javelin to 44.32 meters, taking first in the event.
• Delaney Vacek ran to second in the women's 800 meter with a time of 2:21.07.
• A women's 4x100 meter team of Keeley Hourigan, Raegan Levi, Bre Geary, and Natalie Cummins ran to third with a time of 47.80.
• Kari Mathsen placed second in the women's 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:40.91.
• Noah Smith took third in the men's 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.78.
• Aydon McDonald hurdled to second in the men's 400 meter hurdles, taking a time of 58.03.
• Bre Geary finished in third in the women's 200 meter with a time of 25.79.
• Morgan Conner ran to first place in the men's 200 meter. His time was 21.78.
• Claire Kallhoff and Thea Seibel took first and second in the women's 5000 meter. Kallhoff ran a time of 19:59.52, and Seibel ran a time of 20:44.16.
• Conner Ross and Thomas Vasquez took second and third in the men's 5000 meter. Ross had a time of 16:07.12, and Vasquez had a time of 16:27.69.
• A men's 4x400 team composed of Gabe Anderson, Lucas Steuter, Jacob Wertz, and Javier Kenney placed third, finishing in 3:22.91.
