Lincoln, Neb. (April 19, 2024)- Following a sweep of Buena Vista, Nebraska Wesleyan welcomes Dubuque to University Place Park on Saturday.

SERIES INFORMATION, GAME TIMES, LIVE STREAM & LIVE STATS
Saturday will mark the 21st and 22nd match ups between the two teams. Nebraska Wesleyan leads the all time series 13-7.
Game one is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. Game two is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. Nebraska Wesleyan's team1sports page will live stream both games. Nebraska Wesleyan will carry live stats.

SCOUTING THE PRAIRIE WOLVES
Nebraska Wesleyan enters Saturday with a 22-7 record. The Prairie Wolves have won their last four games, which includes a sweep of Buena Vista on Wednesday, April 17th. Nebraska Wesleyan has posted a batting average of .321, with 16 home runs, 169 RBIs, a slugging percentage of .447, and an on base percentage of .407. Nebraska Wesleyan's pitchers have an ERA of 3.02 and a WHIP of 1.29. Defensively, the Prairie Wolves carry a .956 fielding percentage.

MARY YORI PROFILE
Head Coach Mary Yori is in her ninth season as the head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan's softball program. Yori was hired as Nebraska Wesleyan's first full time head softball coach in June of 2015. In nine seasons as head coach, Yori has complied a 173-135 record and was the 2016 AD3I All-Independent Co-Coach of the Year. On Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, Yori earned her 900th career victory in Nebraska Wesleyan's game one victory over Peru State College. Under Yori's leadership, Nebraska Wesleyan has seen both individual and team success. Yori coached Nebraska Wesleyan to its first NCAA tournament appearance in 2022 and has won 20 games five times. Last season Yori helped pitcher Elise Warneke earn first team All-Conference and third team NFCA Third Team All Region honors. In Yori's time at Nebraska Wesleyan, 10 athletes have earned NFCA/NCAA III scholar athlete honors. 

RETURN TO FORM
Following three consecutive shutout losses in early April, Nebraska Wesleyan worked hard to get back on track. The fruits of the Prairie Wolves' efforts have been revealed during NWU's current four game winning streak, which has seen Nebraska Wesleyan outscore its opponents 32-7. During the win streak, Nebraska Wesleyan has recorded 40 hits and allowed just 21.

NEBRASKA WESLEYAN SOFTBALL TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan's lone conference championship occurred in 1986. That season saw Nebraska Wesleyan post an 8-4 conference record in the NIAC. Nebraska Wesleyan's only NCAA tournament appearance occurred in 2022. That season saw Nebraska Wesleyan go 23-16 overall, and 8-8 in American Rivers Conference Play. 

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
Dubuque enters Saturday with a 6-21 record. Dubuque has a batting average of .274, with two home runs, 90 RBIs, a slugging percentage of .339, and an on base percentage of .332. Dubuque's pitchers have an ERA of 6.65 and a WHIP of 2.07. The Spartans are coached by Andrea Bombace who is in her second season.
