Box Score 2 Lincoln, Neb.- Following a tough 2-1 loss to Waynesburg on Sunday, Nebraska Wesleyan opened Monday with a resounding 4-1 victory over Alfred University. Later in the day, Nebraska Wesleyan routed Northland College 9-1. Nebraska Wesleyan's record is now 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After not allowing a run in the first two innings, Val Gerlach hit a one out RBI double that scored Jenna Kimberling and Lyndsey Roth to make the score 2-0.
- Nebraska Wesleyan added one run to its lead in the bottom of the third inning as errors after a Sami MacDonald single allowed Paige Davison to score.
- In the fifth inning, Jenna Kimberling drew a two out bases loaded walk to make the score 4-0.
- Alfred cut into the lead on a home run in the sixth but that was all the Saxons would score as Nebraska Wesleyan picked up its first win of The Spring Games.
- Elise Warneke pitched a complete game while allowing one earned run on four hits. Warneke struck out five batters and walked two. This was Warneke's first victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nebraska Wesleyan came out firing in the top of the first scoring four runs. The first came courtesy of a Paige Davison RBI double that scored Lyndsey Roth and made the score 1-0. Davison would later score on an RBI single by Bre Schneidewind. Later in the inning, Schneidewind and Sami MacDonald would score on an RBI single by Kamdyn Sprunk.
- In the second inning, The Prairie Wolves extended their lead on an RBI double by Jenna Kimberling which made the score 5-0. Northland would get one run back in the bottom of the inning. After two innings of play the score was 5-1 Nebraska Wesleyan.
- Nebraska Wesleyan would score three more runs in the third inning. Addie Duranski hit an RBI triple to score Eva Fahrnbruch. Duranski would go on to score on an RBI single by Lyndsey Roth. Roth would go on to score after errors occurred in the Northland outfield. After four innings, Nebraska Wesleyan led 8-1.
- Paige Davison would deliver the knockout blow in the top of the fifth, scoring Kamdyn Sprunk on an RBI single.
- Nebraska Wesleyan would shut down Northland in the bottom half of the innings to secure a run rule victory.
- Eva Fahrnbruch went five innings and allowed one run, but no earned runs on two hits. Fahrnbruch had two strikeouts and walked two batters. Fahrnbruch improves to 2-0 on the season.
