LINCOLN, Neb. (March 30th, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan sent a select number of its running and field event athletes to the Central Nebraska Challenge on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Avery Decker threw a national leading mark of 43.89 meters to place second in women's javelin.Â
- Ja'Dein Madison took gold in the women's hammer, tossing it 46.59 meters, making her 8th in school history.
- Emmilly Berglund and Kaelyn Means took first and second in women's discus with throws of 39.08 and 38.02 meters, respectively.Â
- Emmilly Berglund took first in women's shot put with a toss of 12.88 meters.
- Emily Druse surpassed 3.20 meters in the women's pole vault, moving her to seventh on the all-time charts.Â
- Colin Wojtkiewicz took home second in men's discus, throwing the disc 42.23 meters. He also took third in men's shot put, lobbing the ball 15.12 meters.
- Connor Plahn took third in the men's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.38.

Nebraska Wesleyan will compete at the Concordia Invitational on Friday, April 5th, and Saturday, April 6th. The meet will be held in Seward, Nebraska starting at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.Â
