Lincoln, Neb.- Following a sweep of Concordia, Nebraska Wesleyan seeks to keep rolling at home against Peru State.

Nebraska Wesleyan enters Tuesday with an 13-4 record, and a six game winning streak. The Prairie Wolves swept Concordia in their last series, winning game one 3-2, and game two 7-0. The Prairie Wolves have posted a batting average of .322, hit seven home runs, and have driven in 101 RBIs. Nebraska Wesleyan holds a slugging percentage of .443 and an on base percentage of .409. Defensively, the Prairie Wolves have a .961 fielding percentage. In 45 at bats, Lyndsey Roth has posted a .444 batting average and leads the team with 20 hits. Val Gerlach leads the team in RBIs with 16. Pitcher Elise Warneke is 7-3 and carries a 2.78 ERA. 

MARY YORI PROFILE
Head Coach Mary Yori enters her ninth season as the head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan's softball program. Yori was hired as Nebraska Wesleyan's first full time head softball coach in June of 2015. In nine seasons as head coach, Yori has complied a 164-132 record and was the 2016 AD3I All-Independent Co-Coach of the Year. Under Yori's leadership, Nebraska Wesleyan has seen both individual and team success. Yori coached Nebraska Wesleyan to its first NCAA tournament appearance in 2022 and has won 20 games five times. Last season Yori helped pitcher Elise Warneke earn first team All-Conference and third team NFCA Third Team All Region honors. In Yori's time at Nebraska Wesleyan, 10 athletes have earned NFCA/NCAA III scholar athlete honors.

Mary Yori enters Tuesday sitting at 899 career wins over her three stops as a head coach. Yori won 459 games at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, before spending 10 seasons as the head coach at Colorado State where she won 276 games. At Nebraska Wesleyan, Yori has won 164 games.

Sisters Hanna Roth and Lyndsey Roth are off to a rocket start in 2024. Lyndsey Roth has posted a team high .444 batting average and leads the team with 20 hits and 22 runs scored. Hanna Roth has a batting average of .352 and is second in both hits and runs with 19 and 20 respectively. Combined, the sisters are responsible for 37 percent of Nebraska Wesleyan's runs and 26 percent of NWU's hits. Additionally, Hanna Roth and Lyndsey Roth are tied for third on the team with 12 RBIs. 

NEBRASKA WESLEYAN SOFTBALL TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan's lone conference championship occurred in 1986. That season saw Nebraska Wesleyan post an 8-4 conference record in the NIAC. Nebraska Wesleyan's only NCAA tournament appearance occurred in 2022. That season saw Nebraska Wesleyan go 23-16 overall, and 8-8 in American Rivers Conference Play.
