Lincoln, Neb.- After traveling to Florida to partake in The Spring Games, Nebraska Wesleyan returns to Lincoln to open its 2024 home slate with a doubleheader against Concordia.

Head CoachÂ
Mary Yori enters her ninth season as the head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan's softball program. Yori was hired as Nebraska Wesleyan's first full time head softball coach in June of 2015. In eight seasons as head coach, Yori has complied a 162-132 record and was the 2016 AD3I All-Independent Co-Coach of the Year. Under Yori's leadership, Nebraska Wesleyan has seen both individual and team success. Yori coached Nebraska Wesleyan to its first NCAA tournament appearance in 2022 and has won 20 games five times. Last season Yori helped pitcherÂ
Elise Warneke earn first team All-Conference and third team NFCA Third Team All Region honors. In Yori's time at Nebraska Wesleyan, 10 athletes have earned NFCA/NCAA III scholar athlete honors.
WELCOME HOME
Wednesday will mark the first home series of the season for Nebraska Wesleyan. Last season the Prairie Wolves went 4-8 at home. This will Nebraska Wesleyan's final season playing at University Place Park, as the Prairie Wolves will begin playing at the new Lincoln Youth Complex in 2025.Â
ROLLING IN FLORIDA
Nebraska Wesleyan went a stellar 9-2 at The Spring Games and outscored opponents 81-37. The Prairie Wolves allowed less than three runs in seven of the 11 games and recorded one shut out. Offensively, Nebraska Wesleyan averaged over seven runs per game during the duration of the Florida trip.
Sami MacDonald played exceptional, collecting 13 hits and recording 14 RBIs.Â
NEBRASKA WESLEYAN SOFTBALL TRADITION
Nebraska Wesleyan's lone conference championship occurred in 1986. That season saw Nebraska Wesleyan post an 8-4 conference record in the NIAC. Nebraska Wesleyan's only NCAA tournament appearance occurred in 2022. That season saw Nebraska Wesleyan go 23-16 overall, and 8-8 in American Rivers Conference Play.Â
