Lincoln, Neb.- The Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball team suffered a 93-41 loss to Wartburg on Saturday afternoon. The loss drops Nebraska Wesleyan to 0-17 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wartburg got out to a fast start on both offense and defense. The Knights outscored the Prairie Wolves 22-7 in the first quarter while holding Nebraska Wesleyan to a 20 percent shooting percentage.
- Wartburg continued to play well in the second quarter, outscoring Nebraska Wesleyan 30-13 and shooting 66.7 percent from the floor. Wartburg's hot shooting countered Nebraska Wesleyan's best shooting quarter of the game. The Prairie Wolves shot 25 percent from the floor in the quarter. Wartburg led 52-20 at halftime.
- Nebraska Wesleyan continued to fight hard in the third quarter but Wartburg extended its lead to 71-28.
- Nebraska Wesleyan couldn't cut into the deficit in the fourth quarter as Wartburg continued to pull away.
