Women's Basketball to Visit Bellevue, Before Hosting Luther in A-R-C Opener

LINCOLN, Neb. (December 2nd, 2024) - After going 0-2 at the Colorado College Classic, Nebraska Wesleyan returns to Nebraska for a road contest at Bellevue University on Wednesday, December 4th. Then on Saturday December 7th, the Black and Gold will welcome Luther College to Lincoln to open American Rivers Conference play.

LOCATION, GAME TIME, LIVE STREAM & LIVE STATS
Nebraska Wesleyan will face Belleuve University on Wednesday December 4th, at 6:00 p.m. The game will be played at Gordon Lozier Athletic Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Bellevue will live stream the game and carry live stats. NWU will then host Luther College at Snyder Arena, on Saturday, December 7th. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. Nebraska Wesleyan will live stream the game and carry live stats.

ABOUT THE PRAIRIE WOLVES
Nebraska Wesleyan enters the week with a record of (0-6, 0-0 A-R-C). The Prairie Wolves were defeated by Mary Hardin-Baylor in their last game. HEAD COACH JIM WIEDIE
Jim Wiedie is in his first season as head coach in 2024. He holds an 0-6 record as the head coach at NWU. Wiedie brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Wiedie has amassed an overall coaching record of 311-226 across 19 years as a head coach at the NCAA Division I and II levels. Known for his strong player development, Wiedie will look to instill a winning culture at Nebraska Wesleyan.

Before joining the Prairie Wolves, Wiedie served as an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska Omaha, focusing on recruiting and player development. He also holds the distinction of being the all-time winningest coach at both the University of Findlay during their Division II era and Indiana State University, leading those programs to new heights.

SCOUTING THE BRUINS
Bellevue enters Wednesday night with a record of (5-2, 0-0 NSAA). The Bruins score an average of 71 points per game, and allow an average of 68.4 points per game. Bellevue holds a shooting percentage of 39.6, with a 33.6 mark from three. The Bruins shoot a respectable 65% from the free throw line. The Bruins are led by coach Dave Denly, in his ninth season.
