Box Score LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's tennis team secured a pivotal 4-3 victory against the University of Dubuque on Friday, October 4. The Prairie Wolves came out strong, sweeping all three doubles matches, which set the stage for an exciting singles showdown.
In doubles play, NWU delivered one of their best performances in years. The No. 1 team of Anna Burt and Addi Duranski set the tone with a 6-2. At No. 2 doubles, Caitlin Hudson and Crystal Craft followed up with a 6-2 victory. The No. 3 doubles team of Ella Ford and Gracey Smith completed the sweep with a 6-2 win giving NWU a 3-0 lead heading into singles play.
The Prairie Wolves carried the momentum into singles competition. Anna Burt led the charge at No. 4 singles with a dominant 6-0, 6-3 win, while Addi Duranski continued her impressive day, taking down Kreliszeuski 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 singles.
With the match on the line, Caitlin Hudson stepped up at No. 6 singles to deliver the clinching point. After a hard-fought first set, Hudson emerged victorious with a 7-5, 6-2 win, sealing the victory for NWU.
