LINCOLN, Neb. (October 11th, 2024) – Nebraska Wesleyan fell in straight sets to Coe College in a hard-fought American Rivers Conference match in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Friday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coe College won the opening set 26-24, edging Nebraska Wesleyan in a back-and-forth battle that saw nine ties and five lead changes. The Prairie Wolves kept pace with 16 kills in the set but were undone by service and attack errors at key moments.
Set two was another closely contested affair, with Coe coming out on top 25-22. Despite leading 4-3 early, Nebraska Wesleyan could not hold the advantage as Coe clawed back with strong serving and defense. The Prairie Wolves had 14 kills but were hurt by errors.
Coe closed out the match with a 25-17 victory in set three. Nebraska Wesleyan's offense struggled, recording only 10 kills with a hitting percentage of .086 as Coe put on a serving clinic with five service aces.

The loss drops Nebraska Wesleyan's record to 14-5 overall and 1-1 in the American Rivers Conference.
