Box Score LINCOLN, Neb. (September 8, 2023) - On Friday at Abel Stadium, the men's soccer team from Nebraska Wesleyan University (3-0-1) defeated the Westminster Bluejays by a score of 5-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- At the 7:25 mark, Zachary McClanathan scored his second goal of the year off an assist from Thomas Pisasale.
- A foul committed by the bluejays Timothy Seithel led to a penalty kick by Alex Kohler at the 23:31 mark. This was Kohler's first goal of the season.
- Still in the first half, a shot by Owen Glowgoski found the back of the net and brought the Prairie Wolves' lead to 3-0 with an assist from Jaden Hayes.
- During the last five minutes of the game Alex Aguliar recorded back-to-back goals to secure the win for the Prairie Wolves.
- Zachary Weis made three stops in goal to help the Prairie Wolves win 5-0.
- The Prairie Wolves are off to their best season start since 2015.
