Volleyball Rallies to Beat Hamline

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • On Friday night in St. Paul, Minnesota, Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball battled back to defeat Hamline 3-1, winning by scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, and 25-19.
  • With 22 kills and 13 digs, Addie Thomas notched her sixth double-double of the year.  Molly Ramirez finished with 10 kills, two blocks and six digs.
  • With 47 assists, seven digs, three kills, and one block, Elecea Saathoff shined.
  • Aliah Clarke had six kills and a team-high four blocks, but she really shined in the third and fourth sets. With five kills and two blocks in the final two sets, she contributed to the Prairie Wolf victory.
  • Nyah Chambers contributed five kills, while Jaclyn Riedl ended with nine kills and two blocks.
  • Hamline got off to a quick start in the opening set and won 25-23 to grab a 1-0 lead in the match. Late in the set, the Pipers went on an 8-1 run to extend the lead.
  • After a tense back-and-forth struggle, the Prairie Wolves recovered to win the second set 25-18. The teams were tied at 15-all before Nebraska Wesleyan finished strong to even the match 1-1.
  • Nebraska Wesleyan took a 2-1 lead in the game with a decisive 25-22 victory in the third set. The Prairie Wolves took an early lead before separating from Hamline with a 10-1 surge. In the third set, Nebraska Wesleyan hit .302.
  • The Prairie Wolves took an early 18-16 lead in the fourth and final set before going on a 7-3 run to win the match.
