Gold Rush Competes at Regional Event for the First Time in Program History

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Nebraska Wesleyan Gold Rush team competed at Papillion La-Vista South on Sunday, December 3, in the UDA Spirit of the Midwest Challenge. This marks the programs first regional competition in school history.
  • The Prairie Wolves performed in the Hip Hop division with a performance choreographed by guest choreographer, Gracie Firestone. 
  • In her first season as head coach, Becky Spataro led her squad to a first-place finish. 
  • Nebraska Wesleyan will now look to defend their regional championship status in years to come.

  • "I was so excited to have the team attend their first regional event.  This program has a lot of potential and attending this event is a stepping stone for what is to come."
  • "The last couple weeks have been pretty busy as we finished up football season and began performing at basketball games, while also putting in extra hours to prepare our Hip Hop routine."
