Lincoln, Neb- Nebraska Wesleyan suffered a season opening defeat to Colorado College 85-48, Friday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter featured multiple lead changes before Colorado College took control with a late 7-0 run. Brianna Denton led Nebraska Wesleyan with 10 points in the quarter.
- Colorado College exploded offensively in the second quarter, outscoring Nebraska Wesleyan 26-12 and shooting over 57% from the floor. Colorado College held a 47-26 lead at halftime.
- The third quarter saw both offenses get into a rhythm with Colorado College scoring 23 points and Nebraska Wesleyan scoring 18. Colorado College shot 50% in the quarter while Nebraska Wesleyan shot 50% from three point range.
- Colorado College led 70-44 as the game shifted into the fourth quarter. Colorado College would out score the Prairie Wolves 15-4 in the quarter and secure a 85-48 win.
