Volleyball Earns Third A-R-C Win of the Season with 3-0 Sweep of Luther

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • On Saturday at home in Snyder Arena against the Luther Norse, the Nebraska Wesleyan volleyball team recorded 48 kills en route to a three-set victory (25-23, 25-14, 25-15).
  • Nebraska Wesleyan's record now stands at 13-7 overall and 3-0 in A-R-C competition after the conference triumph.
  • Addie Thomas led the Prairie Wolves' offensive with 21 kills and a .326 hitting % on the day, and Molly Ramirez had nine kills and a .333 hitting %. Three players hit double digits in digs on defense: Raegan Holle had 10, Kobie Patten had 13, and Thomas had 12. Thomas also added a solo block.
  • Nebraska Wesleyan served up 11 aces on the way to a third-set victory.
  • Elecea Saathoff contributed a game-high 45 assists, which helped Nebraska Wesleyan's offensive players.
  • After Saturday's match, Thomas in now just 46 kills away from the 1,000 career kill milestone.
  • 14 ties and five lead changes occurred in the back and forth first set. At 23–22, the Prairie Wolves regained control of the lead and maintained it the rest of the way to secure a 25–23 victory. Nebraska Wesleyan totaled 21 kills.
  • Following a victory in set one, Nebraska Wesleyan maintained its winning ways by winning set two 25-14. The Prairie Wolves took the lead right away and never looked back to win the set. Before ending the set, Nebraska Wesleyan had a lead of up to 12 points (24-12). 
  • After that, Nebraska Wesleyan won set three to complete the three-set victory. The Prairie Wolves established a 3-2 lead in the set and never looked back, winning 25-15. Before finishing the set, Nebraska Wesleyan had a lead of up to eleven points at 18-7. Five aces were served in the stanza, which helped Nebraska Wesleyan's offensive as well.
