HOW IT HAPPENED
- On Tuesday, September 27, Nebraska Wesleyan Volleyball defeated Central in straight sets thanks to a combined 28 kills from sophomore Addie Thomas and senior Nyah Chambers.
- The opening set turned Nebraska Wesleyan's way as the Prairie Wolves were able to take set one by a score of 25-19. Nebraska Wesleyan scored on all but five Central serves in the set, for a 73.0 sideout percentage.
- In the second set, the Dutch got out to a stronger start and gained the early lead, but the Prairie Wolves eventually took control with an 18-5 run to win the set. 25-12.
- After trailing 16-11 in the third set, the Prairie Wolves opened a gap with a huge 12-0 scoring run. During the run the Prairie Wolves forced Central into three attacking errors, collected a service ace, three kills by Chambers and one each from Thomas and freshman Kobie Patten. 25-17.
- During the match Addie Thomas surpassed 500 career kills. Thomas has played in 40 career matches in her two seasons at Nebraska Wesleyan.
