HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nebraska Wesleyan set the tone early against Peru St. The Prairie Wolves started Set 1 on a 4-0 run and ended things on a 15-5 run. The Bobcats were unable to reach double-digits and hit a -.038%, respectfully. A Peru St. service error and a block by Nyah Chambers and Sidney Hauptman closed out the first set, giving Cain's squad the lead, 25-9.
- The second set was one the black and gold want to forget about. NWU was unable to find any tempo offensively and hurt themselves with mistakes. Nebraska Wesleyan finished Set 2 with five kills and five errors and the score moved to one a piece, 14-25.
- The Prairie Wolves leaned heavily on their serving and outside hitters in the third set. Cain's squad totaled three service aces and six kills among Addie Thomas, Mackenzie Scurto, and Sidney Hauptman. Shae Gallery had a game-best of two kills as well, 25-19.
- Riding off of their six-point victory in Set 3, NWU started the fourth set with seven straight points. That lead was enough to stand true for the rest of the set and give the Prairie Wolves the victory in four sets, 25-14. Addie Thomas picked up six of her 14 kills in Set 4.
