HOW IT HAPPENED
Mount Mary University
- Nebraska Wesleyan went on the road and picked up a 25-20, 25-11, 25-23 sweep of Mount Mary University on Friday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- The Prairie Wolves trailed for most of the opening set before making a late comeback to claim a thrilling 25-20 victory.
- NWU controlled the second set from beginning to end. In the second set, Nebraska Wesleyan's defense dominated. They forced ten errors and a -.182 hitting percentage, 25-11.
- Nebraska Wesleyan put up a strong fight in the third set. A pair of kills late from Nyah Chambers and Hannah Domandle helped the Prairie Wolves complete the sweep, 25-23.
Milwaukee School of Engineering
- The Prairie Wolves once again swept their opponent, topping their performance against Mount Mary earlier in the day. It marked their eighth sweep on the season.
- In a close Set 1, the Raiders committed eight errors as a result of the black and gold's quick tempo. The Prairie Wolves trailed 24-21 before going on a 5-0 run to finish the set, capped off by two Addie Thomas kills, 26-24.
- In Set 2, Nebraska Wesleyan had a.333% hitting percentage dominating the Raiders, 25-11.
- In the final set, Cain's squad went on a huge 8-to-0 run, which helped the Prairie Wolves close out the sweep, 25-19.
- Nebraska Wesleyan hit .118 and held Milwaukee School of Engineering to .040. The Prairie Wolves had the advantage in digs (53-52) and committed five fewer service errors than MSOE. In the second and third sets, the Prairie Wolves combined for 26 total kills to the Crown's eight.
